October 2023

The 5th Missionary journey was going to Kenya serving with SIM Missionary colleagues. I was invited to train T4T, where we expected 50 participants but almost 100 of them came. Indeed, the training went very well such that most of the people felt empowered to reach the children in a child-friendly way.

The 6th Missionary journey was to visit prayer and supporting partners in North America. We are so grateful to the Lord that we managed to meet with most of our praying and supporting partners in person and had time to share the word of God as well. So much happened but all we can say is to God be the glory and thank each one of you.

The 7th Missionary journey was going to Malawi a few days after our return from North America because the Mission trip was planned before the North America Mission trip since North America depended on us being granted visas. It was great to see and hear the children reciting the Gospel hand as the testimony of children’s commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ our only hope.

We had to defer Zambia Mission trip to a later date due to an emergency health of our T4T Missionary colleague, Onias. He is an ordained pastor in the United Baptist Church, the same church as us. Onias is one of our T4T trainers. He loves T4T and we normally travel together and share the costs of traveling when we go for T4T training in Southern Africa. He is a guru in leadership training in Southern Africa under CWO (Christian World Outreach). He asked me to accompany him to India for his surgery. Hence most of the month of September will be spent in India God willing. I hope and plan to do many things of my ministry work on a computer while Onias is admitted. Thank God for Onias. While in India I am also taking advantage in making medical general consultations like full blood count text which is a huge bonus for me while I accompany my friend.

8th Missionary journey to Liberia in October. The Liberia Mission trip was so impactful. One of the Pastors said, and I quote his message to me on WhatsApp “Brother Chris, it was a real blessing meeting with you and Gabrielle during the week. I must admit, many have been teaching about fighting corruption in our country, but from your presentation, the easiest way to fight against corruption is to be transparent and accountable to God and fellow men. And people of integrity will embrace the teaching, for that is the only way corruption will flee”.

In Liberia, we taught and facilitated two diverse groups:

  • On GDL (Generous Design Lab) This has to do with designing a curriculum that Sport Surge Liberia will use to reach and teach the children in communities and schools.

  • Teaching on SCMS “Strengthening Churches and Ministries on Sustainability” dealing with Identity, Jesus model of leadership “I do you watch, I do you help, you do I help, and you do I watch” according to Dr. Gary Hoag. Then we taught the standards according to AfCCA “African Council for Accreditation and Accountability - Seven Standards (AfCAA.org)”

9th Missionary Journey in Bulawayo in partnership with Christian World Outreach. As they were teaching Missionary leadership, I had an opportunity to share on Today for Tomorrow. What a response I received after my presentation and vision sharing. One of them said, “I thought I finished with church work as I am old now, but I sense God redirecting me to reach the upcoming generation afresh. I tried to do it without being well equipped”. There is a high possibility that the interdenominational church leaders will be inviting T4T for a full T4T training. Please pray for the upcoming itinerary before the end of December 2023. Church leaders training on T4T in Bulawayo on 28th September in partnership with Christian World Outreach which is Onias Tapera’s organization, then fly to Liberia to train church leaders and pastors on Strengthening Churches and Ministry on Sustainability under GTP from 29th September to 7th of October. I will then go to South Africa from the 12th to the 15th, then fly to Zambia for T4T initial training on the 15th to 18th. Again, in partnership with Christian World Outreach, Onias Tapera’s organization, then back to Zimbabwe. Leave Zimbabwe on the 23rd of October to Philippines under GTP for an annual gathering and attend training back in Zimbabwe on the 24th. I will then go to South Africa for T4T training from the 9th to 12th of November to back to Zimbabwe. Then final training in Nigeria in December date to be known soon. That will be the end of 2023 Ministry Missionary trips God willing.
